Gold. These bikes look closer to cyclocross bikes than a modern MTB, with their rigid forks and 1.8 tyres

Toe clips were great!  SPD's were just coming in I think and were expensive.  I came second overall in 1992 in the B grade mtb trials, I was totally stoked maaaaannnnnnn :-)

what ever happened to toe clips they were the best. i remember pulling stunts like at 8.10 on my roady as a kid didn't quite come off like that. But as Andy said totally rad!!

This was the same year I started MTBing so vary familiar!  My heros's were Ot Pi, Jon Tomac, Ned Overend and Hans Ray.  If you don't know any of those guys then do a search on Google!
