Eagerly awaiting the reports and times for all the intrepid Bermers...who was fastest?  Who hid behind Morgan's huge green rear end?  Who stacked, hit a roo or had a mechanical???

200km a week is a good week structured properly, i know alot of the guys who only do that amount, we all ride A grade crits on wednesday evenings. If you cant go around a flat fast 100ker MTB course in under 4 1/2 then maybe you need to re think how you break down the 200k's a week. Best of luck, smash it.

Risin' up back on the street
Did my time, took my chances
Went the distance now I'm back on my feet
Just a man and his will to survive
So many times, it happens too fast
You trade your passion for glory
Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past
You must fight just to keep them alive

(Chorus)
It's the Eye of the Tiger
It's the thrill of the fight
Rising up to the challenge of our rival
And the last known survivor
Stalks his prey in the night
And he's watching us all
With the EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYyyyeeeee of the Tiger

Good luck mate, based on how you rode on Sunday you will do fine. Just dont start to hard and leave something in the tank for the last 20km, most of all have fun!

I can just see the lanky bugger bopping around to Eye of the Tiger with his Race Face on :-)
Good luck mate , don't forget us little people at the end ..... Who will be over an hour behind you

Well done mate - that sounds like heaps. I reckon with the right preparation you'll surprise yourself :)

Remember, prehydrate, have good lunch and dinner on Saturday, prehydrate, not too many coffees on Sunday morning, prehydrate, and most importantly, listen to Eye of the Tiger really loud 10 minutes before the start!

28 aug-3 Sept. Target 100, actual 125km.  OK that's it folks, all over.  A tad under 200km a week for the last 7 weeks is supposed to get me around Back yamma in 4 and a half hours.  I think I might be dreamin.  A friend of mine said he's undercooked, I quote "I've only done 200km a week for the last 10 weeks", and he's aiming for 5 hours.

Well, I can't do any more, so aside from a decidedly leisurely pootle around the course on Sat'dy arvo if I get there in time I've got 3 days of recovery to get me through.  Oh well, that's the best bit - no early freezing mornings for the next 3 days! Yeehah!

Will report back once the race is over.
