jajaja nice one Mel! :)
lol I was thinking of you guys as I rode past the Murrimbdgee golf course on my MTB this morning, I was grinning and those golfers looked so serious ... and clean and sweat and dirt free :)
Well thank you sir! I believe I will... funnily enough golf is also another obsession of mine, compared to bikes it's nothing but if I'm not out riding I'm smashing some hits on the coarse.... Ah yes obsession much, shame I suck at both, but like the saying goes 'Just do it, even if you suck'.
Hey Hernan! Borrow away, not one of my best though! ;)
Sorry, I should have said 'misunderstood' not 'misrepresented'. Couldn't edit it, only delete it and I was too lazy to type it again. True, I'm sure there's a few parallels. Another one is they can both quickly become obsessions!
he he love the pun!! :) nah mate I just thought it was funny and borrowed it. it's true on many levels though don't you think? as most sports, they all share commonalities.
Think I may have been misrepresented in another thread about my earlier comment below.
By 'golf' I'm not taking a "swing" at any courses out there (or a swing at anything else). I simply meant it's the way to network! A LOT of my bosses are on MTBs, roadies, or both.
'I see' said the blind man to the deaf dog, 'it all comes back to me now', he said as he pissed in the wind....
Thanks for that Kevin, appreciated.
Jeebus the bloke with the beard on the AMB 100 banner above :). Brett has always drivin a Kombi, and his father had one before he did, hence my comment. Just go the the Jetblack 24 this weekend no doubt you will hear him singing away, sledging, laughing and joking.
Snowboarding, surfing, MTB are very simiair sports when you think about it. I know a few blokes who do all 3. Similair sports similair people I guess. Maybe XC has more of a competitvie gene though...
Sorry mate, 'new Australian moment', I'm not sure I follow 'Jeebus' is a term I have not heard before. :)
