The Berm

Canberra's Mountain Biking community network

The bike shed in canberra have lowered theyre prices on pedals and shoes to try and compete with the ever increasing internet sites. Entry level road and mtn pedals are now as low as $60 and XTR pedals are now down to $199. These are not special prices, they are new everyday low prices. The crew at bikeshed hope customers will want to spend theyre money locally instead of it going out of the country, plus you get theyre expert advice.

Hey "Harry", this looks like an advert.

I'm gunna let this post stand because you're giving people relevant information and there's a discussion forming from it. It's fine for a business relevant to the community to occasionally let them know about things that will interest them.

However if you do work for the store and you want to advertise on the site, 1) please post the OCCASIONAL blog as an obvious representative of your business instead of being anonymous - it's more professional, 2) use proper English, or 3) contact me to talk about it first.

Happy to help you, just do it properly.

If you aren't related to the store please 'fess up as from the way this is written it looks like you work for them, and they might not want to associate themselves so closely with the post.

Ha - MTB pedals, not MTV being the music pedals.

I'm thinking a small lbs in Florey where you can get entry level MTV pedals for less than $40 let alone $60. I agree though Nigel sometimes you can not go past online prices.

Pretty sure this is a Shimano pricing thing as you can get great deals on Shimano gear both on net and in the shops.....and we're talking current models as well as last years stuff.   I buy local more than I buy on-line...but sometimes the on-line deals are just too good!

Sure I'll spend local but I know somewhere cheaper than that by far - wouldn't you agree Karl?
