Interesting article HERE on nutrition and not overdoing the intake, I do use the Hammer products and have had some great help from them in working on my nutrition. Works no matter what your choice of nutrition/gels/electrolytes is.

Fellow Berm'rs,

A you may have heard my eldest son created a charity event last year called "Pedal 4 Pierce". This event was held at Stromlo Forest Park and was attended by 70 riders and nearly 200 family, friends, fellow MTBers and some curious visitors! Christopher lead the procession of riders on the lower loop section which he calls "Pierce's Track" before we all feasted on home baked cakes, fruit and sorted out who wanted to ride where!

The day raised…

How was everyone's muddy but fun ride yesterday??? Christopher and I did the 10Km cruise and he put in a respectable 45 minute time to get 2nd place, if his chain hadn't of come off he was in the hunt for a close finish...well done to the young kid who beat him, great sport thanking Chris for a good race, always good to see young kids out there having a go.

We cooked up 300 snags on the BBQ and raised much needed funds for the Muscular Dystrophy causes that Christopher…

eh up Nigel.  I realised I just dropped a clanger!  I was corresponding with a Peter Taylor (in respect of going on a ride round stromlo on Thursday) thinking it was you.  I think it wws because you posted your invite on his wall and i replied to him and thought i was in fact speaking to you, etc..... Anyways, tonight i realised what has happened and feel like a total knob!  told you i did not know how to use this site...  So are you still going up stromlo on thursday for a ride round?  (or is that someone else entirely?!) LOL

Nigel, as far as I'm aware, CORC no longer have any involvement with Stromlo aside from being "users" of the facility, the same as anyone else. We're not involved in designing, maintaining or building the tracks there, that role is being handled on behalf of and under instruction from Territory Venue and Events by Makin' Trax.

Certainly, as users we have a role in reporting any issues, but we don't run working bees out there like we used to in the early Stromlo days when things were under construction and we were assisting World Trails with the build.

I'll definitely give you a call to touch base on other trails things though,

Cheers and thanks for the offer of assistance.
