Post your favourite loop at Stromlo, preferrably providing the track section names, length of the route, time it takes to ride it and rider ability level required.

My favourite big route out there at the moment is (from memory) around 35km, takes 2 hours fairly casually for intermediate, reasonably fit riders.

From the main car park, head left through the tunnel and take Fenceline, Cockatoo, Blue Gums etc all the way to Echidna Gap Junction (in other words, ride to the top!) Take a break, soak up the view, munch a cookie, then get ready for an arm-pumping mega descent.

Go right onto Rollercoaster and shake yourself silly all the way through to Slick Rock. If you survive the Slick Rock A line just before it meets Pork Barrel, take a breather and change your underwear.

Head left down the rock face and continue onto Brindabella, short fire road section to Deep Creek, find your top speed on Terminal Velocity and get ready to climb back out of the valley. Chill out at the intersection to Shady's then continue along Missing Link.

Missing Link drops you at the start of Double Dissolution which is super fast fun. Rest a bit on Crim Track and hang a right when you hit the fireroad. Left at the next two junctions and you'll find yourself back up at Party Line (Pipes Track).

Blast Party Line, Dingo & White Gums to Wombat Junction. You'll be wanting another cookie by now so have one while you decide what to do next.

If your legs are jelly, take Breakout and Muck Raker back home. If you're a glutton for punishment, take Blue Tongue and Heartbreaker back to the top; as a reward you can then roll down Skyline and Luge all the way home.

Collapse in a pale, quivering heap next to the coffee van and somebody is sure to shove a doughnut in your gob.
Did anyone else get lost at - My favourite.......

Awesome description Steve. I might print those instructions and give it a go on sunday.
I do much the same but I throw in an attempt at riding Blood rock still not managed to ride it with out putting a foot down, and I usually go down Western wedgetail not roller coaster.

I've been scared to try Blood Rock ever since the best rider in our group had several rude words to say about it after his first and last attempt!

I recommend you try it with Roller Coaster & Slick Rock for a change - it's a blast.

Great route, its pretty close to my normal run. Depending on what kind of riding im in the mood for, skyline and luge may get a few laps thrown in!

Im becoming a fan of slick rock and also pork barrel too..just takes time to explore the whole place while linking it together nicely

My current favorite - I call it red plus (red plus plus and red plus plus plus is done from time to time too)

Left from the car park, under the DH, down dusty critter, up brittle gums, holdens creek, fence line, cockatoo...all the way to the top and echidna gap, western wedgetail, skyline, luge, backberry climb, slant 6, wombat junction, Joey's, Muck raker and homeview etc to the car park.  Great for a quick hours work.

Plus Plus includes Blue tongue and Little Seymor

Plus Plus Plus then goes willow, deep creek, missing link, partyline and back to Wombat.
