Commuting Group

OK so we're mountain bikers, but (or and) I suspect most of us ride to work from time to time, or every day. This group is to focus our alter egos on those stories, challenges, dramas or any other topics related to our daily ride in to work.

Karl a little stick bogan haha, maybe just a bogan ;).

I hear ya not much love at all, I was hit a month + back, the driver did not give way. It seemed all good at the time he even gave me a lift home, till I gave him the bill for repairs, then it was all "bike riders should not be on the road, you don't even pay rego, bikes are not classified as a vechile" etc etc so I made a claim on my insurance and all is good.

It definately does not give you confidence in the system but I'd put in a traffic incendent report to the AFP, it is online, easy and does not hurt: https://forms.act.gov.au/smartform/public/FormServer?formId=1021

At least then there is a record of it, and if the police keep track of these things, they may do something about it hopefully. Or at least maybe make things safer. OK I live in hope.

Heal up!

Melissa, that is just plain wrong, hope the cops sorted those bogans out!  Take it easy and make sure you get back on that bike :-)

Karl, you a nasty man, hope you are going to shout her lunch to make up for it!

For those commuting hear parks just be warned there is a roo cull going on, my normal route was closed this morning due to it, so I missed my dirt section :-(

Driving :), looking for a car park & she came out of one of the side roads pretty quick. I didnt see her until she was right there because the sun was in my eyes in that direction (just off to the right).

She is ok, I helped her up (she was stuck in her cleat), re adjusted her bike & she was sweet. Dint in the gueard of the Commodore but its an old dunger now so no harm done there.

I am going to give her a call later to see how she is.

Doing the car/bike commute this morning & hit a cyclist in the car park of the treasury building...........

Comment by Richard Douglas on May 23, 2012 at 8:28

Melissa, that is really bad. Two idiots abusing you while you are still on the deck, but good on you for standing your ground and firing it back at them.

Don't let these loosers keep you down, and get back on the bike asap.

Hope the bruises and the missing bark heal soon....
