This trail network contains over 20 kms of single trails, a skills and pocket park, jumps areas, a flow trail and a pump track. The trails were designed specifically to offer a wide variety of options for all levels of riders, which makes them a fantastic place to hold a race event.

Bungarra Alpine Centre sits on a 300 acre property just south of Jindabyne in the Snowy Mountains of NSW and provides group accommodation for school outdoor education programs for over 200 people. So there’s plenty of parking and lots of space with grassy areas, trees and wildlife all around.

Rolling Ground Jindabyne have held a number of local club events on these trails providing a relaxed and easy going atmosphere for all who attend. We pride ourselves on providing a great course, great facilities and good times.

Woohoo!  From the organisers:

Hi  2013 Wicked Wombat Entrants,

I know a fair bit of time has passed since the race was completed and that I haven't keep everyone informed with results and photos etc. Well thankfully after spending a long time sorting through photos (over 2000) and interpreting/repairing the results information provided from our time keeper, I have finally got it all completed and on Dropbox for everyone to see.

All photos from the race are in a new folder (follow link below), with new photos of each rider in "Race Photos in Number Order" (in groups of 50 riders). You are welcome to download as many photos as you wish for FREE, so enjoy.

The results were a complete mess, thanks to the power outage on the day, and it's been very difficult sort them all out. The split times shown are from the data we could retrieve and there may be some ommissions, but I hope it all makes sense. Unfortunately, this is the best we can do with the data we have, and I am already looking into other professional event timing services with backup systems to prevent these issues in the future. They are a PDF that you need to download (link below) from Dropbox to view them (you may not be able to view them online).

Again I would like to apologise for taking so long to get all this to you. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Best regards

Rob Gant-Thompson

So out of interest, has anyone seen results from this or were they irretrievable?  (Can't see on their website.)

Also, does anyone have a link to the location of the finished photos?  I think all I've seen is the highlights.

Thanks to all Competitors, Volunteers, Spectators and our Sponsors.

The 3rd Wicked Wombat was a huge success and the MTB community's response motivates Rolling Ground Jindabyne more than ever to continually improve and build our Events and the Trails in the Snowy Mountains for all bike riders.

Rob is working hard with our time keepers to clarify all results. We've got our Videographer Matt Ryan putting together hours of footage for the "2013 Wicked Wombat" video and Steve Cuff, Snowy Times Editor and our fantastic photographer is sorting 1000,s of photos so we can get them out to all competitors. We're hoping a few days for the official results, around a week for the video and a couple for the photos. But have no fear we will have some photos up on The Berm and Facebook within a day or two(hopefully tomorrow morning).

Went for my first ride around Bungarra today, stunning!, even chased an Emu. Thanks to all riders for bringing your tyres along to groom Bungarra some more.

Once again thanks, from Rob and Paul We're already looking forward to wicked Wombat Number 4, only 364 days away.

Yeah had to run after the finish - shame to have to be set up apart from the main area too, but the kids were obsessed with the skills track. Had good Berm-ey cheers going past each lap though!
