Ride/Event Description

6th February

In remembrance of our recent loss of Lynne, it's been suggested that we change this ride.

Lynne loved doing Lake Burley Griffin loops so this is what we're going to do, riding as a group and doing what she loved and having a chat.  Karl can supply black arm bands.

 

Meeting at Blundell's Cottage at 630, same as last LBG ride.

Afterwards, we can head back to Edgars Inn for a beer & schnitzel if you want.

 

Social ride, all welcome.

It was great to see so many people show up (my count was 29 riders) and hopefully that helped push my point that we are not alone. Thanks everyone for making the night just what it should have been.

Bermers,

Nothing I can say can top what Huddo said this evening, nor do I intend it to.

Two words sum up this evening for me, "cathartic" and "poignant". I know we did Lynne proud tonight and you all made me so very proud. I couldn't imagine a better way to have sent her off.

Riding brings us together, friendship keeps us together. Lance was right (about one thing at least) - it's not about the bike.

Thanks too for the laughs at Edgars! It tipped the balance against the tears of late last week.

I'm in guys, found a work around my commitment.

I'm bringing a 12yo named Glen and 30 cups.

I need to put the 'boot' on "Baz" to carry it all, pls wait for me at Blundell's if I'm a little late guys. Will be there ASAP!
