Ride/Event Description

Lets get some more Bermers out experiencing the awesomeness of the Centenary trail.

We will head out nice and early (to avoid the heat) from Blundells cottage traveling anti-clockwise along the Northern Section of the Centenary trail

Pace will be constant but social approx 80kms and 1500m of climbing including Arboretum climb at the end :)

Bring snacks and enough water to get you through to Forde where you can top up.

Bring some money for brunch/cake/coffee stop at either Hall or Gold Creek

I will post a link to information from the trail Blaze guide book which was really helpful

Heres a rough map of where we will be heading which you can download the gpx file

Was great to have you along Sam, so glad you could make it in the end, bummer about your broken spoke ... maybe you need a new set of wheels for a bday present ;)  Im sure you would have been there with us getting lost around the back of Bruce if you could have been :)

Thanks to Milto, Sonja, Sam and Adam for coming along, yes we are so spoilt having these amazing trails right on our back door

Thanks for such a great ride guys. It was fantastic. Only 5 started and only 3 got to the finish. How lucky are we to have such an awesome trail so close to our homes.

Sadly, my efforts to fix my front brake have made it slightly worse and therefore no match for the descents or any hikers that may wander into my path.  (To be honest, the front brake has been a problem for a while.)

As a penance, I'll be riding my road bike for a similar duration and hopefully twice the distance.

Have fun tomorrow, people. My wife is away, so I'm on Dad duties this weekend. Just doing a few small family rides at Stromlo..
